Watson {greenville, sc newborn photography}

You might recognize this photo. I posted it on my facebook page, a few weeks ago as the teaser from my wonderful session with little Watson. I don’t usually post teaser photos, but, well, he was just too dang cute!

This quilt is gorgeous, isn’t it? It belonged to Watson’s daddy when he was little. I think that makes it so special!

This hat was a gift for Watson. He looks too cute and is already to watch a game!

creative newborn photography session
I call this photo, “peek-a-boo!” Watson was SO good for our little session. After some eating and diaper changing, he settled pretty quickly. A little suckling on mommy’s finger was all it took for those wee eyes to close.

We put the cute little hat with skulls and lightning blots on Watson and I was trying to figure out the perfect place to take the picture. That’s when daddy mentions he’s got a guitar and would I like to use it for the picture? It was perfect!

Big yawn! Watson’s mobile has cute retro cars on it to go with this truck!

Dillon & Tori {clemson, sc couples photography}

Connecting with seasoned photographers isn’t always the easiest thing for a JSO (just starting out) like myself. However, Davey Morgan, a new friend of mine is super nice. He’s very happy to share with you some of his secrets–so, well, I guess they aren’t secrets–and he’s invited me to do a few photo sessions with him. And not just to be a walking light stand, either, I was able to bring my camera and take photos to add to my own portfolio!

Well, I’m super glad that Davey invited me to this photo session with Dillon and Tori. They were so photogenic and the location was gorgeous!

This is probably one of my favorite shots ever! See, I had to stay out of Davey’s way, but also be creative enough to get good shots from my location. If I wasn’t the second shooter, I probably wouldn’t have thought to stand where I did.

Dillon and Tori are a long distance couple. He goes to school in Florida and she goes to Clemson! But they make it work by taking frequent trips to visit each other. Dillon came up to SC for spring break.

This shot happened while Davey was taking this shot. Again, another shot that I might not have gotten if I was there by myself. I definitely learned to be creative a look for shots that would be unique–like this one!

This photo session was Tori’s present to Dillion for their 2-year anniversary!

We went to the South Carolina Botanical Gardens in Clemson for the photo session. It’s such a beautiful location!

the many faces of Jaclyn {greenville, sc photographer}

My friend Jaclyn recently got a new DSLR and so we scheduled a photo date to hang out and have fun with photography. We went to ICAR (International Center for Automotive Research) which is a Clemson campus, I think, and were able to get some great nature shots as well as some with an industrial background.

I love hanging out with this gal and had so much fun taking photos of and with her. Jaclyn has her own photography blog that you can view here!
