Jennie Raff {greenville sc portrait photographer}

Do you remember my first ever photo session? A little less than a year ago with my sweet friend Jennie. We went out again, this time to ICAR, the same place I went a few months ago with Jaclyn. Nothing pleases me more to see the difference in the quality of photos I took then and now. Glad to know my hard work is paying off! :)

When we first got to ICAR, we were gathering stuff to head out and I realized I had forgotten my camera at her house! Oh no! So, she snapped lots of photos of me and I took a few of her with her camera. Though, to be honest, I don’t know if any of them turned out that great. She shoots Nikon and those cameras confuse me! ;) So, we went back to Jennie’s for a clothing change and I grabbed my camera.

After taking photos at ICAR, we headed downtown to the Rock Quarry Garden for some pictures with a more natural backdrop.

Refresh {greenville, sc event photography}

My church hosts a ladies retreat every other year which is a whole lot of fun. However, it’s a long time between retreats and someone had the genius idea of having a quarterly ladies night out. Rebecca, one of the organizers as well as our lovely emcee pictured above, asked me to come take photos of the event and I was more than happy to oblige. After all, church fun + photography=WIN.

We started out with a giveaway and my friend Nicole won!

And then two audience members were chosen to play two rounds of “Minute to Win It.” They played Chocolate Unicorn and Junk in the Trunk. They were such good sports and it was so much fun to watch!

This is our lovely all-girl band! We’re blessed to have such a talented bunch of musicians at North Hills and these ladies did a wonderful job leading us in worship.

For our first quarterly meeting, Heather taught. “Ladies in Waiting–What does waiting for Jesus, our Bridegroom’s return have to do with my day today? Everything!”

It was a popular event and were were too crowded for the room in which we met–I, along with several others, sat on the floor during Heather’s teaching time! But that was a great thing, because it meant that so many women were able to come and be blessed with worship time, teaching, and fellowship with each other.

You can see more photos from the event here.

the many faces of Jaclyn {greenville, sc photographer}

My friend Jaclyn recently got a new DSLR and so we scheduled a photo date to hang out and have fun with photography. We went to ICAR (International Center for Automotive Research) which is a Clemson campus, I think, and were able to get some great nature shots as well as some with an industrial background.

I love hanging out with this gal and had so much fun taking photos of and with her. Jaclyn has her own photography blog that you can view here!
