I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I met up with Amy (another fellow lindy hopper) at Furman University and she said, “Let’s head to the library!” As we trekked the short distance from the University Center to the Duke Library, all I could picture was the horrible pictures I’d have to give her. I didn’t really assume the library would be an ideal, or even adequate place to take pictures. After all, I’m still working with my internal flash–yuck!

Needless to say, these pictures definitely exceeded expectations! It was so much fun shooting in the library, and we had a fair amount of natural light coming in through the windows. Thanks, Amy, for such a great photo session! :)

I had a super fun time last week shooting some vintage portraits of a friend and fellow lindy hopper, Raewyn. We were pretty unlucky in that it started raining right when we started to head out. We ended up heading into Downtown Greenville instead of the Arts District like we had previously planned. But there are covered areas in Downtown that are, well, vintage-y.

We eventually made our way to the arts district where I found this gorgeous red wall. It’s mine, I tell you! All mine! It’s just a tiny little section, but I love the color. The last photo, however, I think is my favorite.

Thanks, Raewyn, for a great session! And for adding some fun to my portfolio. :)
