Emily {Clemson, SC bridal portrait photography}

Clemson Botanical Garden photographer

Meet Emily. I first met Emily through swing dancing. Then she started dating Will. And I know Will from working together at a local Boy Scout camp. In fact, Will's sister Anne Marie was my bridesmaid at my wedding! Emily is really outdoorsy. She and Will went backpacking for their honeymoon. Which, by the way, is totally hardcore and something I would never ever do. Another interesting fact about Emily? She and her mom made her wedding dress!

How gorgeous are Emily’s flowers? She didn’t get quite the bouquets she wanted on her wedding day,
so she made up for it by making her own for her bridal portraits. Wild flowers–I love ’em!

This little froggy was hopping across the path when we happened across him. So, what did Emily do? Pick him up of course. Unfortunately, he was no prince (which is okay since Emily has her own!)

Emily's hairpiece is more than just some flowers in her hair. The lace is from her mother's wedding dress. How sweet is that?

After the session at the botanical gardens, we stopped by this old factory of some sort to take some
pictures. And may I just say that Emily totally rocked it!

The Larsons, Pusts & Leckeys {Greer, SC family photographer}

I'd tell you who all these people are, but, honestly, I can't remember everyone's name. I'm terrible with names. A friend from church, Ali (on the left in the blue top with the grey-ish cardigan) asked me to take some family photos. Her whole family would be in town and, based on conversation that night, they hadn't gotten together for a photo op in quite some time. I was worried about temperature (it's getting cold at night!) and light (didn't want to start too late and have it be too dark!) but everything worked out perfectly. I had a great time with this family! Here's a handful of the shots I took:

This is Ali, her husband Mark, and their three adorable kiddos. (Who, by the way, were really well behaved!)

This is definitely one of my favorite shots from the night. Ali's brother and sister-in-law were just sitting for a chat while I took a picture of someone else. I looked up and saw them sitting there like something out of a magazine, so rushed up to capture the moment!

We thought it would be cute to put the kids in this giant pot!

All the ladies of the group...

...and all the gentlemen.

Thank you to the Larsons, Pusts, and Leckeys for letting me take a couple photos of you. I had a great time!

brandingBeing married to a graphic designer who knows all about branding is quite helpful sometimes. Like when you’re trying to brand your new photography business, for example. We’re in the process of picking brand colors and fonts and designing a logo! I’m known for jumping right into things with nary a thought because I just want to get. it. started! We’ll in the branding process, we’ve decided to change a few things that I’ve already done. One of those things is the name of my business. I picked “Fraukuech” as my online identity after I got married. The story is in the “About” section.

When I started this blog, originally as a daily photo blog, I kept the whimsical moniker. I also tacked “Fotography” onto the end. But after some discussion and thought, it’s been decided that “Fraukuech Fotography” might be a little too whimsical. And, yes, I would like people to take me seriously. I’ve thought about fully changing to something a little more, well, normal, I suppose, like “Tiffany Anne Photography.” I don’t think I could go with “Tiffany Kuechenmeister Photography” because that’s quite a mouthful. If “Kuech” is going to be in my name, it’s going to be “Fraukuech.” I really like Fraukuech and it’s really google-able! I have, however, decided to start spelling photography the correct way. So, if you notice that, it’s not a typo! One annoying thing about this is that I can’t change the name on my facebook page. Not sure what to do there. I’m trying to decide if I should just get rid of it, start a new one, or live with it. Right now, I’m opting to just live with it.

Look for my official website launch sometime around the end of the year. (I’m waiting that long so I can really think it through.) I’m pretty excited about it and, really, it’s gonna be awesome.

The last thing I need is another blog. But what I really need is a place to consolidate all the photos I run across that inspire me. So, I started a tumblr. And when I run across a photo from one of the one hundred (or thereabouts) photographers blogs that I follow, I post it on my tumblr. These photos are good for not only inspiration. I’m humbled by what truly great artists some photographers are. I’m aware of how far I need to go. And I’m really in awe.

So, check it out if you want…Inspiration.
