Jennie Raff {greenville sc portrait photographer}

Do you remember my first ever photo session? A little less than a year ago with my sweet friend Jennie. We went out again, this time to ICAR, the same place I went a few months ago with Jaclyn. Nothing pleases me more to see the difference in the quality of photos I took then and now. Glad to know my hard work is paying off! :)

When we first got to ICAR, we were gathering stuff to head out and I realized I had forgotten my camera at her house! Oh no! So, she snapped lots of photos of me and I took a few of her with her camera. Though, to be honest, I don’t know if any of them turned out that great. She shoots Nikon and those cameras confuse me! ;) So, we went back to Jennie’s for a clothing change and I grabbed my camera.

I could not stop squealing while taking these photos of Jennie. The location was just perfect and the lighting? It was amazing!!

Not to mention I had a gorgeous model to work with ;)

After taking photos at ICAR, we headed downtown to the Rock Quarry Garden for some pictures with a more natural backdrop.

Love these azaleas!

Thanks Jennie for a such a fun day! :)

Watson {greenville, sc newborn photography}

You might recognize this photo. I posted it on my facebook page, a few weeks ago as the teaser from my wonderful session with little Watson. I don’t usually post teaser photos, but, well, he was just too dang cute!

This quilt is gorgeous, isn’t it? It belonged to Watson’s daddy when he was little. I think that makes it so special!

This hat was a gift for Watson. He looks too cute and is already to watch a game!

I call this photo, “peek-a-boo!” Watson was SO good for our little session. After some eating and diaper changing, he settled pretty quickly. A little suckling on mommy’s finger was all it took for those wee eyes to close.

We put the cute little hat with skulls and lightning blots on Watson and I was trying to figure out the perfect place to take the picture. That’s when daddy mentions he’s got a guitar and would I like to use it for the picture? It was perfect!

Big yawn! Watson’s mobile has cute retro cars on it to go with this truck!

Big sister was such a helper! And so adorable too :)

Taking photos of Watson made me just fall in LOVE with newborn photography! Thanks so much, Gretchen & Ian, for letting me come over and take photos of your adorable little boy!

easter diptych
Just so you don’t think I’ve completely forgotten about updating my blog, here’s something from Easter Sunday. After a yummy dinner, most of us were lounging outside. The girls were climbing on the wood pile, the adults were playing bocci ball or spectating those playing bocci ball.
On the left is Adrienne. She’s the daughter of my brother’s girlfriend and, after seeing Leo (my brother) take a big bite of lemon grass, she decided to try it. Jade, a good friends’ daughter on the right, spit out the lemon grass and decided to go for lipgloss instead. :)
